BBQ Chicken on the Grill

Sometimes it can be scary to cook low and slow a whole chicken. Fear not. It is not scary it is delicious and I highly suggest it. This recipe takes about 2-3 hours depending on the size bird you have but once it’s done it’s so good! I would suggest about 15-20 minutes per pound on a 350 degree oven!

Ingredients:

  • 4-5lbs whole chicken

  • BBQ Sauce

    • 1 Cup Ketchup

    • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

    • 1 tbsp. Worcestshire Sauce

    • 1 tsp. salt

    • 1 tsp. pepper

    • 2 tbsp. red hot hot sauce

Directions:

  1. Marinate whole chicken over night in BBQ marinade.

  2. Pre-heat grill to 350 degrees.

  3. Add chicken to grill, careful not to lose the marinade.

  4. Cook for 3 hours. Periodically dousing with marinade.

  5. Should cook to 165 degrees.

  6. You will get a juicy and delicious bird!

TIP: We typically use our Traeger smoker for this!
