Protein Packed Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffin Tops

These muffin tops are just plain yummy. My son calls them cookies. My husband basically stole them out of the oven before they were even done because they made the house smell SO GOOD. They were easy to make and the recipe yielded about 12 tops. They were made with greek yogurt which adds extra protein!

Protein-Packed Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffin Tops

Serves: Makes 11-12 Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 cups bread flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • *1/2 cup sourdough starter

  • 1 cup greek yogurt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Mix together wet ingredients (sourdough counts as wet ingredient).

  2. Add dry ingredients to bowl and mix.

  3. Add chocolate chips last and mix until well incorporated.

  4. Scoop by 1/4-1/2 cup increments onto a parchement paper lined baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes on 350 or until cooked through. Don’t overcook!

  6. Enjoy!

***You can omit the sourdough starter just replace with 1 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp of baking soda.
