Honey-Hot Chicken

I came across a recipe that had crispy honey-hot chicken and I thought I NEED TO MAKE THIS RECIPE AND MAKE IT MY OWN! So here we are! This recipe is super simple. You probably already have all of the ingredients on-hand and I promise even if you mess it up it is still going to be mouthwatering delicious!

Tip: Make sure the chicken is spread out all over the sheet pan. If it’s not it will not get crispy and the crispy pieces are THE BEST!

You can EASILY make this a meal prep item and have the chicken cold over salad for lunch or in a bun. It’s very versatile!

Honey-Hot Crispy Chicken

Serves: 4-6 people + some leftovers

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs. chicken, cubed

  • Onion Powder

  • Trader Joe’s Smoked Paprika

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • 1/2 cup flour

  • Frank’s Red Hot

  • Honey

  • Stick of butter

  • Olive Oil

  • Blue cheese or ranch

Directions:

  1. Grease sheet pan with spray of choice or oil or butter wrapper.

  2. Add dry spices to chicken and coat. Make sure the chicken is evenly coated.

  3. Dust with flour, and coat evenly.

  4. Drizzle olive oil over top and coat pieces evenly again.

  5. Spread out chicken on sheet pan. Make sure there is space between the chicken! This will help it get crispy!

  6. Put in a HOT 450 degree oven for about 20 minutes.

  7. Meanwhile, mix the hot sauce on the stove with butter and honey.

  8. Once the chicken is cooked thoroughly add the sauce to the chicken. Spread evenly around chicken.

  9. Put pan back in the oven for about 5ish minutes!

  10. Once you take the chicken out let it sit for a few minutes to cool and soak up any remaining juices!

  11. Use on top of your favorite salad, (I did spring mix, with red onions), on top of rice, with some veggies on the side!

  12. Serve with blue cheese or ranch - which ever is your favorite!
